Annual debt service—
Total interest over the term—

Estimate only. Excludes SBA guaranty fee, closing costs and any rate changes on variable-rate loans. Not a loan offer.

How to read the result

The monthly payment is the number that matters most to your cash flow. The annual figure (twelve payments) is what a lender compares to the cash available to pay it. A longer term lowers the payment and raises total interest; a higher rate does the reverse. Because loan terms differ by purpose, the term menu above is a starting point, not a rule. Ask your lender what applies to your deal.

What lenders look at next

Lenders compare your annual debt service to the cash the business, and you personally, have available to pay it. That ratio is called debt service coverage (DSCR), and each lender sets its own minimum. A payment that looks affordable for the business can still be tight once personal obligations are counted, so it is worth testing both views.
