Precise SBA Get started

About

An independent resource, and straight about what that means.

Precise SBA helps owners buying a business, buying their building or expanding understand their financing options, and prepares the information a lender needs to work from.

Who runs this site

Precise SBA is operated and maintained by SBA lending professionals. We built it to help people access capital and understand their options before they walk into a bank. Contact: hello@precisesba.com.

What we are, and are not

  • We are an independent referral and information service. Independent means we are not owned by or part of any lender or the SBA. We are paid by SBA lenders, as described on our how-we-get-paid page.
  • We are not a lender. We do not approve, decline or commit to lend. Nothing here is a loan offer.
  • We are not affiliated with the U.S. Small Business Administration. We use "SBA" to describe the programs, nothing more.
  • You stay in control. Your information is shared with a lender only with your consent. We will tell you about options that are not an SBA loan, including ones that may suit you better, but the introductions we make are only to SBA lenders.

How we get paid

You never pay us. If a loan closes, the SBA lender may pay us a referral fee, disclosed on SBA Form 159. It is not charged to you. The full explanation, including what it means for you, is on how we get paid.

How the intake works

You describe your plan in your own words. An AI assistant asks follow-up questions and says plainly that it is AI. A person may review the information. AI tools organize and summarize; they do not approve or decline financing and do not give legal, tax or financial advice. See the privacy notice for what we collect and how it is used.

How our content is made and checked

  • Drafts are AI-assisted and edited by people who work in SBA lending.
  • Rules change. Each guide shows when it was last updated. A guide says "last reviewed" only after its flagged program figures have been checked against the SBA's published rules, and until then those figures are marked.
  • Examples are hypothetical and labelled. We do not publish testimonials, case studies or statistics we cannot source.
  • General information only. Not legal, tax or financial advice, and using this site creates no attorney-client, advisory or fiduciary relationship. Talk to your own advisors.
