Precise SBA Get started

Disclosure

How we get paid.

The short version: you never pay us. If a loan closes, the lender may pay us a referral fee. Here is how that works and what it means for you.

Draft wording, pending legal review before public launch.

The details

  • You never pay us. We do not charge a fee to start a request, to review your information, to prepare your package, or to introduce you to a lender.
  • A lender may pay us. If you ask us to introduce you to an SBA lender and a loan closes, that lender may pay us a referral fee. That is the only way we are paid.
  • It is disclosed. A referral fee like this is disclosed on SBA Form 159, as part of the lender's SBA process.
  • It is not charged to you. The fee is paid by the lender. We do not add it to your loan, bill it to you, or ask you to pay it. Your loan's rate, fees and terms are set by the lender within SBA rules, so compare them on their own merits.
  • We make SBA introductions only. We explain options that are not an SBA loan, including ones that may suit you better, but the introductions we make are only to SBA lenders.

What this means for you

Because we are paid only when a loan closes with a lender we introduced, we have a financial interest in introductions to participating SBA lenders. You do not need us, or any agent, to apply for an SBA loan, and you are free to apply to any lender or work with any advisor you choose. We are not a lender, we do not approve or decline financing, and we cannot promise that any lender will offer you a loan.

We will tell you about options that are not an SBA loan, even though we are paid only when an SBA loan closes. If another path fits you better, we will say so. If you want to know whether a particular lender pays referral fees, ask the lender.

What we do not do

We do not charge borrowers application, packaging, success or any other fees, and we do not share our referral fee with anyone.
